Sam whipped the sheets off his mattress and shoved them in his old suitcase. Then he took his dresser drawers and emptied them upside-down onto the bed. Then he stuffed everything into the old suitcase. He was sick of his family. As if on cue, His mother called out from the living room, where she was eating a bag of Low-Fat pretzels. "SAMMERS! WHAT'S ALL THAT RACKET! I CAN'T HEAR THE TELLY!" Sam winced at the way she said ''Telly'' and the mention of "Sammers." She had made that nickname a while back when some Irishman had called him that instead of Sam. (Sam now curses all Ireland accents.) She has been calling him that for years. It totally embarrases him. At parties it's: SAMMERS! IM LEAVING NOW! DONT STAB ANYONE! (The stabbing part is between Sam and the Brownie Scouts of America.) At supermarkets: SAMMERS! DID YOU PICK UP MY OINTMENT?!! (Ok, Eeeeeeeewwwww.....) And worst of all, at school; "SAMMERS!" That's all she had to say to make Sam's fellow classmates laugh so hard they could blow their tonsils out of the back of their throat. And Sam was sick of it. He was running away. And with that final thought, Sam grabbed a bag of cookies and jumped out the window.

18 cookies Later...

Sam had eaten all of his cookies and had walked to the edge of town. There he spotted Tobias' house. He didnt really know Tobias well enough to stop by, but he seemed grateful to let Sam in. Nicole and Josh were there too, playing a game of Football Frisbee, which is basically Frisbee with a bunch of tackling and swearing in between. Stupidly, Sam walked into the middle of the field only to be flattened by the object that was Josh. Sam got up and prepared to fire his best at Josh. "DUDE, WHAT THE FU-" Josh was cut off by Tobias cutting him off. "Dude, watch your tounge! My parents are right inside that door!" Sam scowled. "I know. That's why I'm here."
Tobias backed up. "You want my parents? No deal. My parents are one of the few cool parents in the universe." Josh looked at him. "Did you really just say that? Really?" He asked. Tobias suddenly looked puzzled. "I think so....." He said. "I'm gonna go lie down." Tobias left, wondering what had made him say that. Sam shook his head. "No, I don't want your parents, but I'd trade with you any day. MY parents treat me like a total baby!" Nicole stepped forward. "That still doesn't explain why you're here." Sam nodded. "I'm getting to that part." He answered. "Anyway, my parents treat me like a total baby. And I'm sick of it. So I ran away." Sam smiled, pleased with his explanation. Nicole and Josh gaped at him. "YOU RAN AWAY JUST BECAUSE OF THAT?!" Screamed Josh. "NOW WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO LIVE?" Sam thought about it. "I dunno..." He said. "I just want to show my mom proof that Im not a baby anymore." Nicole smiled wickedly. " I think I have the solution." She commented. "Uh-oh.." Said Josh.

1 whacked-out solution later....

You want me to do WHAT?!!?!?! Sam exploded. "You heard me." replied Nicole. If you want to prove to your mom that you're a "Man," You need to go into the house on Blugar Street with a camera." Josh looked at her. "But that's supposed to be the most haunted place in the county!" "Exactly." Said Nicole. Then you get video proof you can go in there without screaming, you'll be a man and live a happy man life." Josh caved. "Okay... But you're coming with." Nicole stared at him. "Say WHA?!"

On Blugar Street...

Sam looked at the door to the house of the most haunted place in the County. For My Manhood. He repeated this over and over in his head. Then he unlocked the door. Nicole stepped in first. There was a loud clanging sound. Nicole jumped at the noise. Oh, how did I get wormed into this? she wondered as she made her way through the dimly lit hallway. The camera Sam was holding flicked on and Sam started commnting. "Hi, Mom. I'm in the Haunted House of Fears on Blugar Street. I'm videocamming this because you have been treating me like a baby ever since I was one. And I need to prove my manhood to you by-" "OHMYGODWHATTHEHELLWASTHAT?!?!!?!" Tobias screamed. Sam looked at him. "Who brought him?" "Nicole shrugged. "I guess he just followed us. Like a puppy follows it's owner, probably." Tobias looked up. "Puppies?" He asked. "Where?" Sam sighed. "Never mind...." He picked up the camera and continued his commentary. "I must prove my manhood to you by walking through this house and not screaming or crying once." Sam looked up and saw a door. "Done already?" He asked. "Cool!" Sam opened the door and realized he was not done. Apperantly he had just begun. Eyes peered out from corners of the room. Human bones fell from somewhere up above, making a clunk as they hit. Ripping flesh could be clearly heard, echoing through the house. This time, Sam wasn't scared. Sam was terrified.

About The Story:
I've been reading a lot of creepy stories lately, so I guess I just had fright on my mind. This story started out as Sam tearing up his room looking for something, but I looked it over and the ripping of the bedsheets and the dumping of the clothes just sounded like running away. So I guess the story took a big twist along the way. The idea for the haunted house was because I had watched a TV show called The Othersiders with my little brother where they investigated a boat to see if it was haunted. I changed boat to house and the story took off from there. It does get a little boring writing these stories, because I often get occupied by something else. But its always nice when I finish the stories and put them on here for you guys. Check out my next story: It has Cubbie in it!

"Never let yourself get caught alone with a liptor," Alex's grandfather told them that evening. It was the first thing he had said to Jake since he had arrived at Alex's house two hours ago. Up until then, he'd just sat in his rocker and stared out the window. Jake, obviously puzzled, looked at Alex for an explanation. Alex shrugged and turned to her grandfather.
"What's a liptor, Papa?" She inquired. Her grandpa's face did one of those things where you can see every expression that passes through the persons brain. Pained. Scared. Serious. Blank. "Grandpa?" said Alex, waving her hand in front of his face. "I asked you what a liptor was, remember?" Just like that, Alex's grandpa snapped into a state between hyper and comatose. He stared at them grimly. "A liptor is a horrible thing, really." He continued, staring at us with that grim expression on his face, like the kind you would have if you saw someone shoot a puppy. "They look just like humans, you know. Just like you and me. On the outside, at least. " He paused, took a breath, and went on. "But inside, they're all dark and hungry." He stared at Jake so hard that Jake thought his eyes would burn a hole through his body. "A liptor lives for just one thing. To get you alone and chomp on your bones!" Alex's grandfather laughed. Jake spoke up first. "That's very interesting." He heard his voice crack. I'm not scared, He thought. My throat's just dry. H went to go get some water, and when he returned, Alex was sitting on he floor, listening to the story. "...They get you alone." He said as Jake wandered in. "Somewhere where no one can see. They dont even like another liptor to be there during the special time. That's how they are. Very private." Jake looked at him, and could've sworn he saw a grin on the old man's face. But when he looked again, there was nothing there. "Then," He continued. "They show you their true form." Like candle wax dripping down, they're skin slowly drops off their body, and you see their true form, which is probably the last thing you will ever see." Again, Jake saw a grin on the geezers mouth. Weird... Soon he forgot about it, and sat down. "Anyone want to go for a walk in the woods?" asked Alex's grandpa. Jake shook his head. "No thank you, sir." He shuffled to the window. Jake watched him. "Are you sure?" he said. "It's a great night for a walk in the woods!" "No thanks." said Jake. "It sounds great, but I'm not sure I could handle the excitement." There was something hungry in the old man's eyes. Jake would never admit that the story scared him, but he sure wasn't going anywhere alone with him right now. "Suit yourself." said Alex's grandfather. He pulled on his hat and coat and walked out the door. Jake sighed and turned around to find Ale smiling. "Can you believe that guy?" asked Jake. Alex grinned wider. "He knew you wouldn't go with him." Jake nodded. "You got that right." Alex's grin spread wider. "We take turns. Tonight's my turn. Grandpa's real fair about that." Jake looked at her. "What?" Alex laughed. "Alone with a liptor. Only one way that can turn out." Jake gasped as Alex's skin began to melt off. Her grin spread wider as it dripped to the floor. Soon, all her skin was gone, revealin something that looked hungry.

About the story:

I read stuff, you know? And I was reading some book about vampires (No, not Twilight) And I thought about that vampire concept a little, and came up with this. The name Liptor comes from the stack of Liptor post-it notes on my desk. Thank you for waiting so long for this one to come out, and for sticking with me. Hope you enjoyed it!
