"Sure, I guess" Ronnie sat down on the bed. "Actually, I don't feel like basketball" Ronnie reclined on her bed a flicked on the TV. "Girls night followed by room trashing?" Ronnie grinned. "Ooh, oh oh, everybody's starry eyed!" Ronnie's phone went off. She picked it up and answered it. "Hi! Yeah, I'm great, thanks, how's everything going for you? Ah, good. What is it? Wait, WHAT?"

"What's the matter Ronnie?" Roxy asked, looking worried. "Is everything okay?" She threw her purple jacket onto the floor, and sat down where it was lying seconds ago on the bed. She waited until Ronnie had finished her phone convo, which consisted of many shocked faces and 'whating'. Roxy fiddled with the corner of her pillow, until Ronnie threw her phone down on the bed, and continued to stare forward at the abandoned pizza box from last night lying on the end of the bed. "Ron? Who is it? What's the matter? Please tell me!"

"My Mom. Is coming. To see me. Tomorrow." Ronnie said. "She is so embarassing! She tries to be all cool and hip. But ugh!" Ronnie sighed. "She chose the name Veronica, which my Dad hates. If it was up to him, I would of had a normal name like Sarah, or Maria, but no." Ronnie flicked the TV back on to Eastenders. "Let's make the most of tonight, ok?"

"I'm sure she's real nice Ron," Roxy said, comfortingly. "I mean, she had you so she must be at least half-cool!" The two turned back towards the TV to watch EastEnders. They were in the middle of an imporant conversation about whether Janine should be with Ryan or not, when Ellie burst through the door. "We're leaving Roxy," Ellie snapped. "Mum said I wasn't allowed to stay, but she wants to see you, her precious little daughter. Yes, that's right, daugher. Yes, mum was too scared to tell you, I suppose. Your perfect daddy had an affair with my mum... and she died in a car crash when I was 2. You would have been 3, so you wouldn't remember. Your mum found out about the affair, but agreed to bring me up as her own!" Roxy looked shocked, and sat there, feeling sick. "Yeah, so, want to go see "mummy"?2 Ellie jeered, as she turned around and stalked down the corridor, lugging her cases behind her.
