2011

We live in an ocean, struggling against the mystic waves that rise in greatness by the strong winds. We float by density, we sink by gravity. We should swim right. If we don't, we'd be sunken under the great forces of the blues, with the blood-hungry sharks and the bobbling whales. Deep inside the trench we'd be trapped for the rest of our lives, stuck in the core of Mother Earth. But if we struggle and fight for air above the sea, we shall live. Amidst the crashing waters that try to drown us with their salty taste, we have to breathe. We live to fight for the air. If we're under, hold your breath. It's the game; we have to keep breathing.

This vast pacific is not infinite, but it has no beginning or end. Our lives do, though. We are born on the shore, and as we swim longer for the years, the water gets deeper. There is no escape to that unless you let yourself free to be carried away back to your birthplace. But there is no freedom here. The waves are too strong, the hurricane never ends, so we have to keep going like the rest. We swim to one goal; to find land where we can live in stable homes and eat the red fruits. We all won't make it, but we still have to try. We have to do our best to swim our farthest, so by then we'd be closer to the promised land, and the waters will do the rest of the job to carry us away to its shore.

As years pass by, waters get deeper, we have to go farther and we should breathe more. There is no escape to that for the last 31st of the year. And by the 1st of 2011, we have to go on with more strength, more power, more drive. So exercise your muscles. Drink your Gatorades. Bring in all your friends and your loved ones, and we'll swim together and breathe the same air as we struggle. A few more kilometers for the year.

Remember, just keep swimming.
