An Angel Among Martyrs

Short and sweet. Something I wrote in math today. Is graphic.

- She laid there in the gutter like some whore killed by Jack the Ripper. Her orange hair was a tangled mass, curtaining her dead, grey eyes. Her appendages laid at strange angles, bones sticking out of the white skin, joints dislocated from eachother.
A maniacal laughter resounded off the alley walls near the lifeless girl. A shivering figure stood giggling in the shadows, shaking from the icy rain. This woman had the skin of a ghost as her red lips curled into a luscious smile; the street lights dancing upon her grinning teeth. A crazed lunatic shouted from within her eyes as they sparked a ferocious green. Her hair fell over her shoulders and down her back in wet, brown strings.
Out of the shadows she emerged, her body splattered with blood, each muscle quivering with every breath she took. She wore no shoes, only a silk night-gown that clung to her skin.
She carried herself to Grand Central Park, climbed into the arms of the angel, and laid there, her mouth singing the Lord's prayer to the heavens. Pale fingers carresed the angels stony face as it looked down upon the woman, pityingly. The rain flowed over its stone face, falling from the angels stare like shimmering tears.
With a tremendous cracking sound that split the silence of the night, a gun fell from the angel as the woman laid there, struggling to breathe as a smoking hole pierced her chest through the heart. Her lips still recited the prayer, gasping out the last words as her soul lifted to the heavens.
Her Amen resounded through the trees as the angel cried over the child of God in her outstretched arms. This woman was a martyr; a martyr to love and hatred...Protected by God...Comforted by the New York Angel.

I don't understand why this is disturbing, I think it's very nice and well-written, too. Maybe you should write more stories in math.
