Re: Creepy Thread
You know how you hear things when you just watched a scary movie and then your parents leave? Well I was apparently seeing things, too. Cause there was blood on the closet door and everything. I opened it and found my little sister on the ground crying. She tried to not show anybody 'cause she thought they would put her in a mental institution. c:

Re: Creepy Thread
-Carder- wrote:Coffins used to be built with holes in them, attached to six feet of copper tubing and a bell. The tubing would allow air for victims buried under the mistaken impression they were dead. In a certain small town Harold, the local gravedigger, upon hearing a bell one night, went to go see if it was children pretending to be spirits. Sometimes it was also the wind. This time, it wasn't either. A voice from below begged and pleaded to be unburied.
"Are you Sarah O'Bannon?" Harold asked.
"Yes!" The muffled voice asserted.
"You were born on September 17, 1827?"
"Yes!"
"The gravestone here says you died on February 20, 1857."
"No, I'm alive, it was a mistake! Dig me up, set me free!"
"Sorry about this, ma'am," Harold said, stepping on the bell to silence it and plugging up the copper tube with dirt. "But that date was 7 years ago."
Than what was it?
Re: Creepy Thread
THis has happend to me tons of times. no joke. I hear it happens to everyone. Your away from your parents, upstairs, for example. your mom/dad calls you downstairs, in their voice:Jimmyyyy. At first you think you just head something. You disregard it. A couple minutes later you hear it again:JIMMYYYYYYYYYYYY. You yell down to your mom or dad:YEA? Your mom and dad say:What? We didn't say anything. o_o
Disclaimer:My name isn't Jimmy that was an example. =P

Re: Creepy Thread
I found this and thought it was quite creepy:
Susan and Ned were driving through a wooded empty section of highway. Lightning flashed, thunder roared, the sky went dark in the torrential downpour.
“We’d better stop,” said Susan.
Ned nodded his head in agreement. He stepped on the brake, and suddenly the car started to slide on the slick pavement. They plunged off the road and slid to a halt at the bottom of an incline.
Pale and shaking, Ned quickly turned to check if Susan was all right. When she nodded, Ned relaxed and looked through the rain soaked windows.
“I’m going to see how bad it is,” he told Susan, and when out into the storm. She saw his blurry figure in the headlight, walking around the front of the car. A moment later, he jumped in beside her, soaking wet.
“The car’s not badly damaged, but we’re wheel-deep in mud,” he said. “I’m going to have to go for help.”
Susan swallowed nervously. There would be no quick rescue here. He told her to turn off the headlights and lock the doors until he returned.
Ax Murder Hollow. Although Ned hadn’t said the name aloud, they both knew what he had been thinking when he told her to lock the car. This was the place where a man had once taken an axe and hacked his wife to death in a jealous rage over an alleged affair. Supposedly, the axe-wielding spirit of the husband continued to haunt this section of the road.
Outside the car, Susan heard a shriek, a loud thump, and a strange gurgling noise. But she couldn’t see anything in the darkness.
Frightened, she shrank down into her seat. She sat in silence for a while, and then she noticed another sound. Bump. Bump. Bump. It was a soft sound, like something being blown by the wind.
Suddenly, the car was illuminated by a bright light. An official sounding voice told her to get out of the car. Ned must have found a police officer. Susan unlocked the door and stepped out of the car. As her eyes adjusted to the bright light, she saw it.
Hanging by his feet from the tree next to the car was the dead body of Ned. His bloody throat had been cut so deeply that he was nearly decapitated. The wind swung his corpse back and forth so that it thumped against the tree. Bump. Bump. Bump.
Susan screamed and ran toward the voice and the light. As she drew close, she realized the light was not coming from a flashlight. Standing there was the glowing figure of a man with a smile on his face and a large, solid, and definitely real axe in his hands. She backed away from the glowing figure until she bumped into the car.
“Playing around when my back was turned,” the ghost whispered, stroking the sharp blade of the axe with his fingers. “You’ve been very naughty.”
The last thing she saw was the glint of the axe blade in the eerie, incandescent light.

Re: Creepy Thread
In Berlin, after World War II, money was short, supplies were tight, and it seemed like everyone was hungry. At that time, people were telling the tale of a young woman who saw a blind man picking his way through a crowd. The two started to talk. The man asked her for a favor: could she deliver the letter to the address on the envelope? Well, it was on her way home, so she agreed.
She started out to deliver the message, when she turned around to see if there was anything else the blind man needed. But she spotted him hurrying through the crowd without his smoked glasses or white cane. She was, naturally, suspicious, so she went to the police.
When the police paid a visit to the address on the envelope, they made a gruesome discovery, 3 butchers had been harvesting human flesh and selling it to the starving people.
And what was in the envelope the man gave to the woman? A note, saying simply "This is the last one I am sending you today."

Re: Creepy Thread
I actually have a creepy story that really happened to me, I'm not making this up.
Me,my mum, dad, gran and my brother&sister went on holiday 3 years ago in Wales and the holiday home we went to was a really nice house that was made in about 1857 or something like that. It was so big the owners had split it into 4 sections. The section we had was really big and we had a great time there, but things started to happen..
Throughout our 7 day stay there doors kept slamming by themselves. There were no open windows or draughts, we checked.
The worst was one I actually witnessed. My little brother was running into the room with all the toys and he paused at the door for a second to listen to something my dad was saying. Suddenly the door just slammed into his hand really hard! My dad thought it was me but I wasn't even near it.
One night my dad and gran were waiting for my mum at the kitchen/dining room table. From there you could clearly see the stairs. My gran said "Look there's Lindsay now" my dad looked and there was no one there, but he said he briefly saw a figure of a girl...
My room was quite big, it had two single beds, one cot and three windows. I liked the room because it had one of thos windows you can sit in but whenever I went near the small window near the cot I got the chills. I could swear on my life that when I looked at that window I could see a young girl (about 8-11 maybe?) out of the corner of my eye.
The last event occured on our very last day. When we woke up we went in the kitchen and it was wet near the step to the utility room (which was quite big and led to the front door). So my dad opened the door and the room was flooded. We called the woman who we were supposed to call when something went wrong and she couldn't find anything wrong. The appliances were fine, the taps had not leaked, there were no underground wells, there was literally nothing that could have caused it.
Oh and one last thing, I could never shake the feeling I was being watched, especially at night when I was in my room in bed.
Naturally we didn't go there again but I think something wanted us out of that place...
