Do you think gay marriges should be legal in the U.S.?

Personally I do not. I believe marrige is a holy cerimonie between a man and woman that love each other and want to spend their lives together. What do you guys think?

yeahh, i think they shouldd. if gay people want to be gay, that's fine. It's not likeeee if you outlaw it, they won't be gay anymore. it'll just deny them the right to marry eachother.

But marrige is a Christian ceremony between a man and a woman. They could still be gay, but they just wouldn't have to get married and wreck holy Christian traditions. We already gave them so many rights.They should be pretty happy.

Well, I personally respect gay people but I don't really encourage gay marriages. Well, it doesn't really wreck the Christian tradition (there is still marriage in other religions) but I surely agree that marriage is only a ceremony between a man and a woman. They're free to love each other and be gay but marriage, I don't think so.

Well see, I think being Gay is... kinda wrong.. but, if two Gay people want to get married then thats fine, They want to express their love for eachother. Now, I don't live in the US but I say that if two gay men Love eachother So Much, it's their choice if they want to get married. So Im not against it

Personally, I believe that it's their lives and they can make the choices they wanna make. Taking this right away from them is like taking the right to vote away from women. Sure, Christianity might frown upon it, but their beliefs might not necessarily be the same. It's their lives, if they choose to want to marry into the same sex, that's their choice- it's not our responsibility to make it for them.

I think it should be legal,Because people say it is ''morally incorrect'' and ''against the bible'',but the south in the 1800's said the same thing about freeing the slaves, and most americans the same about women voting. Isnt taking away soemones right t marry the same as taking away a mans freedom? We may say we have changed since the civil war, but we havnt. We americans say that we are the land of the free, and we ight for our freedom, but as long as someones rights are takin away,like gay marraige, we are not fully a land of the free. Sp yes, it should be legal, but thats my opinion.

True, but the point of a free country is that no one religious or political view dominates. If America was how you're describing it, people would have to live by the bible and follow every word of it. I don't see people doing that.

Religion back then did affect why there were slaves and why women couldnt vote. That definiton is biased,. Marraige is of two beings loving each other, doesnt have to be man or women. You say gays are trampling on christianity, and old tradition eh? WELL guess what slave owners said, the exact same thing(wiithout the tradition part). I know lots of gays, they are my friends, one was my dads baby sitter, and one of our langets friends. As long as gays dont have the right to marry without oppistion, we are NOT a full land of the free, we are just as bad as slave owners and people of predjustice.

myyyy churchh allows gay marriagee. nowww, i'm not gay myself, but i respect gays. like i said, it's not like if we force them not to marry, they will suddenly become not gay. They will still be gay, and i doubt that it will change just because they aren't allowed to marry.
