...to the very next day?

Can you feel the hate,
rushing through your veins,
trying to satisfy,
that crave for pain?

You're not the man you used to be,
You're not the same one anymore.
You used to hold it dearly,
Now it's gone, forvermore.

You put on the mask,
you throw it all away.
You put on the mask,
did you ever really care in..the..first place?

Photo albums,mirrors, they see the inner core.
They understand, they see there's more.
Or is that a thing of the past?
You tell me.
Maybe the clock of time ticks too fast.

It was really good until you randomly tried to make the last line of the 7th stanza dramatic. The 8th/last stanza also seems kinda out of place. However, overall it was a great poem and I know exactly what you're talking about.
