TRT Constitution

I, the President of TRT, along with SirBlue_Kuzoo, have created an outline for the government of TRT. We have decided on a Two-Branch Government. The form that the government will take goes as follows:

Executive Branch: The President of TRT is the head of this branch. He is an elected official and can be a moderator or a non-moderator. His/her term in office shall be 4 months. The president will not appoint a cabinet, but will instead appoint members of the Lower House, a Vice President, and a Secretary of State (for more info on the vice president and secretary of state, see "stuff nobody cares about." the final member of the executive branch is the Court Jester. The court jester is appointed by the leader of the upper house and is chosen based on who is the lulziest person in trt and serves as court jester for life, or until they are appointed to any other government position. The President may be impeached from office, however, only with a legitimate violation of the constitution. The procedure will be the same as all voting procedures. The vote may not happen until the president is informed of the impeachment process and he or she has been given a trial to defend his or herself. Note that this right will be forfeited if the president has been inactive without notification for more than one week after the initial impeachment proposal is made.

Legislative Branch: The TRT Legislature shall consist of two houses. This Branch is The houses are as follows:

• The Upper House: The Upper house shall be made up of the moderators from the Bribble and the 6 moderators of the Forum. Currently, all moderators from the Forum are also moderators on the Bribble. However, in the event that a moderator on the forum is not also one on the Bribble, he/she will still be part of the Upper House. Also, in the event that a moderator is elected President or vice president, they will not serve on the upper house until the end of their term.
  
• The Lower House: The Lower house will be made up of non-moderators who are appointed by the president after being elected. The leader of the Lower House will be the runner-up in the presidential elections. In the event that the runner-up is a moderator, the non-moderator with the most votes will be the Leader.
  

Voting Procedure: When an issue arrises that calls for a vote, the voting will procede as follows. The members of the Upper and Lower Houses that are on the chat/forum at the time of the vote will each vote on the issue. If the desicion is the same across both houses, then the desicion shall be finalized. In the event that there is a tie, the President shall vote to break the tie. If the President is inactive, refer to the presidential chain of command.

This is the structure of the government of TRT. It can be ammended, however, with a vote of the Legislature.




Presidential Elections: The presidential elections shall be decided by a vote of TRT memebers. The nomination period shall last one month in time. After this period, the voting polls shall open, and stay open for a month and 20 days. Then, the remainder of the month (10 or 11 days, depending on the month) shall be alloted for the President elect to prepare for their term in office. During this time, theyPresident of TRT will appoint the Lower House of the Legislative branch as well. On the 1st of the following month, the President Elect shall take office. Also, a President shall not be allowed to run for a second term.

Chain of Command: Should the President die in office (become inactive for 2 weeks without notice), the Vice President will assume the position of President for the Remainder of the president's term. Should the vice president be inactive as well, the Chain of Command will be as follows.

4. Leader of Lower House
5. Leader of Upper House

After a presidents term has ended he will be given a chance to join the upper house which means that even Nonmods can be on the upper house

• The Lower House: The Lower house will be made up of 10 non-moderators who are appointed by the president after being elected.

So the Executive Branch is the President's Branch and the Legislative Branch are the members of the cabinet. The Upper House are the mods in forum and chat while the Lower House are the President's chosen non-moderator people.

Take back what I said about a dark future in TRT. Carder (and BK), YOURE THE BEST!

The next President will be selecting the lower house reps. So instead of having a cabinet to fill, he or she will have a lower house to fill. ;o

so u will not have a lower house but an upper house and the upper house will be split in votes as one half acting like the upper house and the other half acting like the lower house

yesss, they can. technically the only person who can't run this election is me because i already won.
