Do you ever do anything else like this? Because it is possible you have OCD. I myself do, but I don't have that type that you described there (where you'd make sure the doors locked, you've turned things off, you checked the time right, etc).

I actually do have OCD. I can't keep my hands still, and have to always have something like a pencil to twiddle around (I have either a pen or pencil in my hand almost 24/7 ). I have to balance and organize everything, even erasing whole essays if I think the writings off centered (which sucks because my handwriting is that of a serial killer).

Yes! I do this. I always have to be moving my hands, like when I'm bored and have nothing to do with my hands, I'll crack my knuckles, or twirl a pen. I like things being even, like in P.E. I make sure my socks are at the same height etc. When I'm writing on the bored I'll rub out what I've wrote if it isn't level.

I have a bad habit of biting my sleeve when I get nervous. I also tap my fingers a lot if my hands aren't doing anything else.
