Since I was surprisingly bored, I decided to post the article that I wrote for the school magazine here. Don't mind the Theresian thing. That's what the school calls the students there. I'm not gonna tell the name of my school btw. Also, this is dedicated to Vicky since she is absent today because she's sick. Get well soon Vicky!

From Zero to Hero

Do you have a favorite superhero? Who are they? Have you always wanted to be like them?

Well, someone told me that you don't have to be a somebody to become a hero. You just have to be at the right place and at the right time to be one. Look at this story for example. Have you ever heard of the taxi driver who returned the money to his customer when the customer left the money inside the taxi? Yes, that's one example of a true hero. The taxi driver may be just a somebody to you, a "zero". But hey, he became a hero! So if he can, why can't you? Even if you're zero, you can be a hero!

Maybe this question pops out of your mind right now: "How?" Normally, we Theresians have a good answer. But have we done our answers in reality? And did we truly write our answers honestly from the heart? Either we become a hero to our environment or to our fellow human beings; we can only be a true hero if we do these things with our hearts:

1. Picking up the trashes on the ground.
* If we pick up the trashes on the ground, we can help save Mother Earth! Garbage promotes pollution in the world and pollution is one of the greatest problems in our barangays, am I right? Aside from that, we can help our janitors keep our surroundings clean.

2. Help others in any way you can.
* Like all superheroes do, help others! Try helping your classmate in her homework or bring a wounded friend to the clinic. Simple but helpful!

3. Reuse, Reduce and Recycle.
* Try making a masterpiece out of junk! You could make a pencil holder out of newspapers, magazines cans and lots more! You could also make other stuff like picture frames and scrapbooks and place them in your room.

4. Be conservative to save natural resources
* Save electricity and buy only things that you need the most. That way you can save the Earth's natural resources.

5. Follow the signages, be a Theresian!
* Listen to "Good Morning, STC" every Tuesday and learn more about the signages displayed in our campus. That way, we can become a Theresian and if we become a Theresian, we can become a hero!

Those are just some ways to become a hero. There are a lot more out there, but the best way to become one is to be a good person, a man of God. Good people are the true heroes, so always be good. Even if you're zero, you're a hero!
