Skyrim

Post by ponycrazy12 on Mon Jan 16, 2012 7:05 am

Seeing as only me and Toasty are the only TRTers/ians who play Skyrim this is kind of a pointless post, but I shall do so anyway!

I love this latest instalment of the Elder Scrolls, I can only think of one criticism so I'll get it over with: the UI is not that easy to use. I often find myself scrambling for that poison that is somewhere amongst the 50 odd potions I'm carrying.
But now for the good stuff:
The new fighting moves and animations are a big improvement from Oblivion, the killing moves are pretty cool too.
The denock option when you've drawn an arrow is a mega relief, no more shooting an arrow into the ground!
The voice actors are awesome! A few well-known are Max Von Sydow, Christopher Plummer, Vladimir Kulich (I love you) and Joan Allen. The scottish guy who does Brynjolf is really good too.
The cities are much bigger than in Oblivion and the sights can be jaw droppingly good.
Basically it's all awesome Very Happy especially the new Radiant quest thing, it means some new quests will always come up, making the game technically impossible to finish! Very Happy
ALSO, the big cities have some very good houses to sweep. If the inhabitants are still in, put a bucket over their head (yes, literally) and they won't see you stealing a thing! XD

Haha what is it with Argonians? Everyone I come across seems to play one lol.
I've always favoured the Wood Elves myself but Skyrim made them kind of ugly with red-yellow eyes Sad

Yeah most of the elves have too many wrinkles too, they look old :s BUTT! Luckily there's a mod for that Very Happy

Also the interaction with other people should be like Draon Age 2, cause I want to be an evil PLEASE REPORT ME FOR SWEARING!!PLEASE REPORT ME FOR SWEARING!! who offends and curses everyone!

And it doesn't use DirectX 10 or 11 as far as I know.

The scenery looks really amazing though!

But all in all it's an awesome game, yeah Very Happy I'd give it a 9/10
