Future Jobs
What job are you aiming for?
I want a job in film and/or tv but I'm not sure exactly what job yet so I'm planning on becoming a runner when I'm 18 so I can get a feel of the set and the many jobs involved.

Wikipedia wrote:Runners are the most junior members of a television/film crew. They are responsible for fetching and carrying and doing most of the odd-jobs in a production. Their role is usually to support anyone who needs help in a variety of ways, until such time as they have learned enough to assume more responsibilities. This position is referred to in the US as a Gofer.

Re: Future Jobs
Since I was little I wanted to be an actress. But I don't think my parents will support that idea much, and also, I'm not sure that I want to work up until 12 hours a day (if I ever got lucky to have a decent acting career).
Then I thought of being a lawyer but every lawyer I know is a big prick and all they think about is money and whatnot. I don't like that. Then I thought why not translate stuff or a foreign langauge teacher... But I don't know yet.
So, I'm still thinking about it. Everyone says "You're young, you got time", but in about 4 years I must have decided. 4 years don't seem much to me, tbh...

Re: Future Jobs
I was just thinking the same thing. My parents tell me that I should get a job that I love and what I'm good at. But I have no idea what I'm good at yet, they said that I have a flair for writing but I don't really want to be a writer.Cookie'D wrote: Everyone says "You're young, you got time", but in about 4 years I must have decided. 4 years don't seem much to me, tbh...
I had a bit of a panic about that a while ago but I'm mostly sure about the Runner thing now. I'll be able to meet loads of people in the business that way

Re: Future Jobs
Awesome ideas, guys! CD, I could totally imagine you being a lawyer.
'OBJECTION!'
'OPA, OBJECTION!'
I want to be a TV writer, then a comedienne and actress. I think I'm funny enough, and I really enjoy writing scripts. Like today, I got this idea for a 30 Rock episode, but I can't effing remember it! Yknow those annoying morning ideas you get, but don't write them down? Yea. That was one.
I also really enjoy acting, and Performing Arts on a whole. So when I get to pick my options next year (Like when you get to pick the classes you take.)
I'll take English Extra, English Lit[erature], Drama, P.A. and Geography.
