So. Me and Red decided to start a new RP. It is sorta based off Pretty Little Liars, where one of our friends have died and she is somehow spreading our secrets around everywhere. More scandalous things happen, too. It'll be fun. So our characters are:

Prologue:
It's been a month today since Willow Ann Ranger, my old best friend died mysteriously. Me and Rainia, my other best friend have been finding it hard to keep it together lately. But it's not all doom and gloom. Since Willow died, some secrets have been slipping out. We don't know how. Or why. Or who. But we don't think that Willow is all that innocent.

Raina leant back against her chair and sighed. Looking out of the window, all she could see was the dusty grey clouds of miserable England. If she looked into the distance she could see a small white cloud, hiding between the rain clouds. It was like a flower between thorns, a rainbow between raindrops, a bride in a graveyard. It had only been a few weeks since Willow had died, yet it felt like months. Raina traced her name in the rubber shavings that lay on her desk. It looked nothing like the perfect plaque that stood proudly on her coffin. "Willow Ann Ranger, loved by many, treasured by many, missed by many," Raina whispered under her breath. She'd memorised every word said at the funeral, whether it was what Mr. and Mrs. ranger had said, or whether it was what the guests had said. "Wonderful girl, such a shame she's passed," most of them had said. There was always the one though who had to spoil it though. "Don't worry," Raina mumbled to the cloud. "I know you aren't any of the bad things they said, Willow."

The rain pitter-pottered down Jennifer's window pane. It was a lazy Saturday as she sat on her window seat, overlooking her field. Except it wasn't. It was her birthday and she was supposed to feel happy, but she couldn't stop thinking about Willow. It was the only thing on her mind. Her Mom and brother had came in to serve her birthday breakfast and her Dad wouldn't stop texting her from Spain, but she didn't feel like eating, or telling her Dad 'those jokes are lame :PP x thankyou' She just wanted Willow back.

Raina pushed her chair back and stood up. She looked around her bedroom, unchanged since she was twelve. Mangled soft toys lay solemnly in the corner of her room amongst piles of clothes she never planned on tidying away. Crumpled photos were blu-tacked to the walls in every available space. Raina walked around her bed that stood in the middle of her room, and turned to face the wall. She ran her fingers over one of the photos, something that had become a daily ritual. The photo was taken a few years back at her thirteenth birthday party. Willow sat on a wall proudly, an arm around Raina and their other best friend Jennifer. There was a caption written on the photo in silver gel-pen. "Amongst every Rainadrop is a Rainabow". It was the tackiest thing Willow had ever come out with, but since her death Raina had been repeating it over and over again in her head. Whenever she smiled at the day they'd had together, she'd mentally beat herself up. How dare she be happy when Willow was lying six feet underground in some soil, stuck in a little wooden box to rot forever. She looked back at the photo, and sighed when she saw Jennifer's face. Today was her seventeenth birthday, and as far as Raina knew she was spending it on her own. She'd sent her a text earlier, simply saying "Happy Birthday". She'd got a reply back within seconds, just a small "Thanks x." She knelt down on the floor and reached under her bed. She pulled out a box, making sure not to crease the ribbon that was tied into a neat bow on top. Raina lifted the lid slightly to make sure the present was intact. Jennifer had wanted the jumper for weeks, but it was far too expensive. Besides, Willow had the same one, which meant Jennifer was unspeakably forbidden to buy the same one. But, Willow wasn't here any more to tell her not to wear it. Would Jennifer appreciate it? Or would she think Raina was rubbing it in and trying to make it worse?
"Only one way to find out," Raina said to herself, before taking a deep breath and walking out the door.

Jennifer hoped she wouldn't have to spend the rest of her day sitting around in her PJs. She got dressed in a blue cashmere sweater and a brown pleat skirt, complete with pink plimsoles. She curled her browny ginger hair and flicked on her TV. Her and Willow's-no, scratch that-her favourite show, America's Next Top Model was on. When her, Willow and Raina were younger, they used to play a game called Top Model. Sometimes Willow was mean to Raina and Jennifer, and would give them 2s and 3s. But none of that mattered now. Willow was gone. It was too late to hold grudges. And every grudge she and Raina had held over Willow now couldn't be reversed. Jennifer sighed. DingDong Jennifer heard her doorbell went. She looked out her window seat and ran downstairs to greet Raina. She was carrying a box. Jennifer had been so caught up about Willow that she'd forgot it was her birthday.

"Hey," Raina said with a small smile. "Can I come in?" She waited for Jennifer's consent before stepping into her home. It smelled comforting, of washing powder and air freshner. She could tell everyone in that house had been as clean as usual. "I thought I'd give you this, I got it a while back." She handed it to Jennifer and watched as her fingers danced over the ribbon, not wanting to spoil it. "I'm really sorry if you don't like it, I didn't mean anything over it." Raina shut herself up before she babbled on, intending to break the silence. Jennifer took the lid off the box, and looked inside.

"Oh, thank you Raina." Jennifer pulled the gift out of the box. It was a pink v-neck sweater, the one Willow used to have. Jennifer had longed for that sweater when she saw it in the mall with Raina and Willow, she just had to buy it. But no. She couldn't. Willow had the same one. She would never be forgiven. And Willow always was one to hold a grudge.

Raina sat in her science classroom, Jennifer by her side. There was an empty space next to Jennifer, which used to be her old seat. No point saving a seat for someone who can't sit in it any more. Jennifer was wearing the pink sweater, the one from Raina. She'd been getting so many compliments for it, because there was no Willow to take the attention away. Her perfect blonde hair always bounced on her shoulders perfectly, as if held to her body with thin pieces of wire. She always looked nice in whatever she wore - heck, she'd look good in a binbag. Everyone who came up to apologise for Willow would also say a compliment to either of the two, sometimes both. It didn't feel right accepting their kind words when Willow couldn't hear them. Willow was always the one who controlled what they wore, and now for the first time ever they had some independance and it was being complimented. Are they saying that Willow had poor dress sense?
"Miss Hart?" The teacher said, walking over to their desk and tapping the ruler. "Lack of sleep again?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah, sorry miss," Raina said flustered. She looked down at her notebook and saw a load of half-hearted doodles, none of which were relevant to the work. She leaned over slightly to whisper to Jennifer. "What are we supposed to be doing again?"

"It's some kind of Science, that's for sure." Jennifer cracked a joke at Raina, but didn't even bother to laugh at it. Willow would of told her it was dumb. To be honest, Jennifer didn't even know why she was worrying about Willow. She wasn't really her friend, she was just someone that bossed herself and Raina about. Maybe it was a good thing she had gone?...- NO. Scratch that. Jennifer couldn't believe what she said. She didn't mean that. She just meant that maybe now that she had gone, they could live their lives normally, out of the spotlight. That is, until the secrets started to spill...

Raina was sat in English, Jennifer on the other side of the room as the seating was alphabetical order. They were supposed to be analysing texts to prepare for the summer exam, but their minds weren't in the right place to concentrate on English. Raina tapped her pen on the text gently, trying to force herself to write English and not think gibberish. She looked down at her work and saw a piece of paper poking out from under her work. The paper was pink and smelled of Willow's perfume. Raina's heart started to beat faster, and she pulled the paper out. "Remember the rug? - W" Raina blinked, her eyes must be surely deceiving her? Only Willow was there that day, the two twelve year olds in Raina's bedroom. They were cutting up paper to make a get well soon card for Jennifer, only Raina accidentally cut through her rug. She made Willow promise not to tell anyone; they didn't have the money to replace the rug and she knew her mum would go spare. Raina shook her head and turned around as much as she could to see Jennifer. She was looking into space. "Jen..." Raina whispered as loudly as she could. No answer. "Jen!" Raina whispered loudly, before feeling a hand on her shoulder. "Back to your work Miss Hart," the teacher said sternly. "Sorry, I just... wanted to share my inspiration..." Raina lied.

"What is it, Rain?" Jennifer asked furiously. She was in the middle of reading about haikus. She made up a haiku in her head.

I want my friend back now
It is not fair that she has gone
She will always be missed

Even a low-set loser could work out who that was about.

That was a term Willow had coined. The girls were all in top set together, of course.

DINGDING

The bell went for break. Now Jennifer could find out what Raina was saying.

Raina ran up to Jennifer as soon as the bell went, leaving everything on her desk apart from Willow's paper. "Look at this." She waited for Jennifer to read it. "W?" Jennifer said. "The paper, the scent, the letter - it all says Willow," Raina said, keeping her voice down as they were getting some pretty odd stares from everyone filing out the classroom. "And Willow was the only one who knew about the rug." Noticing Jennifer's confusion, Raina quickly explained what happened to the rug. Jennifer stiffled a laugh, the first time they'd smiled together in a while. "I'm serious Jen, it's Willow!"

"That's impossible, Raina, and you know it." Jennifer giggled a little, but, underneath the giggle was a serious thought that it could actually be real. How else could it get there. They carried on walking past all the lockers. "No. Wait. What if it's someone playing a cruel joke? You know how many people secretly hated Willow, Rain." Jennifer turned to open her locker- but it was already open. A long with a big post it note stuck at the back of the locker. It smelt and felt just like Raina's note. It read:

"What's up Braceface? - W."

The only people that knew the combination to Jennifer's locker was herself...and Willow.

"Braceface?" Raina asked after she had gotten over the shock. "She was always so original..." She watched as Jennifer examined the note and the area around it. "She knew my combination too," Raina said under her breath. "But why would she do it? We were always so nice to her, giving her everything she wanted and sticking up for her and keeping her secrets." Raina thought for a moment about what she just said. "No, she had no secrets, she didn't tell us anything..."

"She must of planted these before the..the murder." Jennifer sighed. They were never mean to Willow. Willow was the one that was always mean to them. Maybe..maybe Willow had problems that we didn't know about. But everything seemed just fine and dandy when the girls went back to her house. Her family were loving and kind. She had a boyfriend, Darren, that loved her. That reminded Jennifer...Darren! "Oh God, Raina, is Darren okay?" The last time the girls had saw Darren was at the funeral, which was over a month ago.

"Oh yeah, Darren..." Raina said, shaking her head. "I don't think he was in science this morning." Raina pulled Jennifer's arm back to turn around. "If we go now we might be able to catch him before his family get back." "You know when his family are there?" Jennifer raised an eyebrow. "Oh, I... used to babysit his little sister when he wasn't there." Jennifer nodded, and the two girls walked down the street to his house. Raina stopped outside a largeish house surrounded by plants. "This is his house, the cars aren't there so I assume neither are his parents." The girls walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. "Darren," Raina called. "It's Jennifer and Raina." After a few moments of silence, they began to walk back down the long gravel path. "Wait," they heard a voice. They turned around and saw Darren open the front door. "I didn't hear the doorbell." They walked back up the path and came to Darren's open door. He was a tallish lad, about 5'11" with scruffy black hair. It looked like he'd slept all day, as his clothes were creased and crumpled. "You can... come in." They stepped inside his house and looked at the surroundings. 'Just as it was before,' Raina thought to herself. "Are you here about Wil?" Darren croaked. They could tell it hit him pretty hard. "Yeah," Jennifer answered. "We wanted to see how you were." Darren sighed, and put his head in his hands. "I feel like it's my fault, like I didn't love her enough or something. If I could have been there she might not have died." "No one knows how she died, Darren," Raina said gently. "It was no-one's fault." "I just want to know why," Darren said. "Why did it have to be her, she was so perfect." Raina and Jennifer looked at each other. Should they tell him what they found?

Jennifer couldn't help but think the way Darren looked at Raina and herself that he was wishing it was one of them that died. She felt awkward so she reached into her blue cardigan's pocket. She felt the note. She crumpled it around in her hand, before deciding to show Darren. No. She couldn't. Nobody could know. Jennifer nudged Raina. "I think we best be going, Raina. I hope you feel better Darren. Remember, you can always talk to us. Goodbye, now." Jennifer nudged Raina for the second time and the two left. "Why didn't you show him?" Raina asked. "I think it's best if the two of us keep this a secret."

"I suppose," Raina said. "If we told anyone they'd investigate it for sure, we should let Willow rest now." Raina thought about what she just said. Does that mean she should stop thinking about Willow? Should she get her own mind for once and think for herself? She shook it out of her head and decided to think about it later. "You can come back to my house if you want, mom's been telling me that she misses having you around the house. Jennifer nodded and the two headed back to Raina's house. "Mom? Me and Jen are back." Raina's mum came through into the hallway. "It's so nice to see you Jennifer, it's good you two are still friends without Willow, poor girl." "Mhm," Raina said simply, before walking upstairs with Jennifer into her room.

Jennifer loved Raina's house. It was just so homey. It was like her second house. She followed Raina up the grand oak staircase, up into her room. She sat on Raina's bed while she put on a CD. Her phone beeped. Jennifer forced a smile. The text read:

'I hope you are okay after your friend died x CT'

She text back:
'Thankyou x See you tomorrow(:'

Raina put in a Panic! At The Disco CD and turned around. "Who's that Jennifer?"Raina thought for a moment. "It's not... Willow, is it?" Her heart thumped as she pulled her own phone out of her school bag that lay on the floor, and turned it on. After a few moments had passed without a text, Raina gave a sigh of happiness. "Willow doesn't follow my every move then."

Jennifer began tapping her feet to the beat of Nine in the Afternoon. "No! That'd be weird. It's just someone. You might know them." Jennifer said, flicking through some magazines.

"Did something happen between the funeral and now?" Raina joked. "Are you in luuuurrrrrve?" Jennifer's answer was interrupted however when a small figure burst in the room.
"RainaJennyRainaJennyRainaJennyJainyRenny!" The little girl said as she ran up to the two girls.
"Oh hello Bree," Raina said. Bree was Raina's sister, Raina loved her dearly but there was always something about the two that Jennifer could never quite make out.
"Rainy," Bree asked. "Is Willow awake yet?" Raina sighed. Bree was barely three years old, she couldn't tell her the truth. But, the truth was, Willow was awake. She was sending them messages, wasn't she? She looked over at Jennifer, shrugging her shoulders as if asking for help.

Jennifer bent down on her knee. "Bree, Willow isn't going to wake up. She's asleep. But we'll miss her, and she still talks to us sometimes. Got that?" Jennifer smiled, and patted Bree on the back. She toddled out and ran to her room to play with her toys.

"No! It's been going on longer than that. I would never hook up with someone over my best friend's funeral. Now that's just sick."

Raina looked at the floor once Jennifer had spoken. "Yeah, that's a horrible thing to do." Raina jumped on the bed and sat next to Jennifer. "So, do they go to our school?" There was a silence in the room. "Do they have fit friends?" Raina added, making Jennifer laugh.

"I suppose you could say that!" Jennifer giggled. "And I don't know! They're kinda not your style." She tried to change topic. "Man I love this CD. Don't you? I really want to see them live, yknow." Jennifer started to talk fast - that's what she does when she's nervous.
